Dear Judge Becker:
I am writing in support of Dr. Tyrone C. Malloy in hopes that you will consider the man and his any contributions and not merely the verdict when imposing sentence.
I have known Dr. Malloy as a colleague, mentor and friend for 28 years. I have personally benefited from his support, encouragement and tutelage through law school. Furthermore, I have witnessed firsthand his unselfish giving to others from helping with basic needs to providing resources to start businesses and launch careers.
When I spearheaded the opening of a free clinic in DeKalb County in 2007, Dr. Malloy offered his building as a venue for a fundraising event and he has supported the clinic when called upon ever since.
It would be a disservice to remove Dr. Malloy from the community in which he has served for so many years. He is no way a danger to society. A man of his talent and skill would be a greater benefit to society if he is free to serve. I respectfully ask that you consider bond while he is awaiting appeal and probation and community service in lieu of jail time.Respectfully Submitted
