Over the course of his career, Dr. Tyrone Malloy has made numerous contributions to the field of women's health. As Principal Investigator at the Soapstone Center for Clinical Research, he is currently developing a blood test that will identify fetal abnormalities within the first three months of pregnancy. A highly regarded researcher in his field, Dr. Tyrone Malloy has also conducted studies in gynecological infections, breast disease, contraception and family planning, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, and other women's wellness concerns. Dr. Tyrone Malloy has been published in Georgia State Medical Association Magazine and has garnered research sponsorship from such well-known companies as Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer, and Novartis. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Tyrone Malloy maintains membership in the Georgia Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, the Society of Clinical Research Associates. Inc., and numerous other professional organizations. He has pursued advanced postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynecology at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where he was chosen among his peers to serve as Chief Resident. He holds a Doctor of Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from New York University. Most recently, Dr. Malloy earned a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law. He is now a Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. As a private practitioner, Dr. Tyrone Malloy has cared for patients in and around Decatur, Georgia, since 1981. Also the current CEO and Medical Director for the Atlanta Center for Women's Choice, his prior leadership history includes two years as Chief of Medical Staff at the highly regarded DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale in Lithonia, Georgia. Dr. Malloy additionally teaches the next generation of medical professionals as an adjunct assistant professor at Emory University School of Medicine and serves as a preceptor for Georgia State University School of Nursing
