Cynthia J. Becker Superior Superior Court Judge DeKalb County

556 North McDonough Street, Ground Floor Decatur, Georgia 30030

My name is Brinda J. Carter and I am providing this character reference in full knowledge of the possible charges pending against Dr. Malloy.

Very few people that I know have done so much for so many others. His family, patients, employees and many others have benefited from his gregarious spirit, often for no compensation, and at great personal cost.

I have known Dr. Malloy for more than twenty years; as an employer and physician. The charges he is facing are completely uncharacteristic of his character and reputation. Dr. Malloy is a man of integrity and honesty. He is a community-minded person and extremely generous. I have witnessed him going without pay in order to pay his employees. This is just one example of how he places the needs of others over his own.

Dr. Malloy has met so many challenges with grace and suffers quietly while carrying burdens that stem from the marginalization of a misinformed society as it relates to his chosen profession. His dedication to his profession has made the difference between life and death for many women. He has worked tirelessly with clinical trials and has uncovered innovative and more effective ways to address women’s health issues. Physicians from all over the world actively seek out Dr. Malloy about advances resulting from his medical research.

I am asking that the court bring to bear a sober reflection on the character of Dr. Malloy. He is not a criminal and he deserves the highest and most humane consideration before judgment is delivered. I wish him the best so that he may continue the positive contribution he makes to our society.

Sincerely,

Brinda J. Carter
