Throughout his career, Dr. Tyrone Malloy has combined clinical skill with a dedication to advancing the field of obstetrics and gynecology. For more than a decade, he has served as Medical Director, Principal Investigator, and CEO of the Soapstone Center for Clinical Research. In this role, Dr. Tyrone Malloy directs and conducts research into women's health conditions and treatments. On behalf of pharmaceutical companies as well as independent research associations. Dr Malloy has furthered medicine's understanding of abnormal Pap smears, endometriosis, anemia, and many other conditions. In addition to his clinical research, Dr. Tyrone Malloy maintains a thriving private gynecological and obstetrical practice. At Metropolitan Atlanta OB/GYN in Decatur, Georgia, he provides a full range of women's health services. An expert in endometrial ablations, Dr. Malloy also focuses on menopausal treatment, hypothyroidism, and Vitamin D deficiencies. In 2012 he led the practice to premium listing in Best of Atlanta's annual series. In practice since 1981, Dr. Tyrone Malloy has also held numerous leadership positions v/with medical centers and research organizations throughout the area. Most recently, he served as Chief of Medical Staff at DeKalb Medical Center-Hillandale in Lithonia, Georgia, where he played a key role in establishing this community hospital's financial stability. He has also served as Organizer and Clinical Trial Director for Medical Network Research and as longtime CEO and President of Old National GYN in College Park, Georgia, a practice he continues to own. In addition, he has led the Atlanta Center for Women’s Choice. Inc., as Medical Director, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and provider of specialized Genetic and Fetal Anomaly and Late Second Trimester Abortion procedures. Dr. Tyrone Malloy holds a Doctor of Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as well as a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law. He completed his internship and residency at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where he earned the title of Chief Resident He has achieved Fellowship status in the American College of Legal Medicine and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and he maintains active membership in numerous professional organizations
